Company
Lancashire Digital Limited (LDL) was formed in 2004 by Len and Greg Adam, with the aim of providing a quality multimedia development service, primarily to the education sector. Len and Greg appreciated that to produce quality work quality people would be required, and as such assembled a team of developers and support staff that allowed them to meet this goal.
Since formation the company has gone from strength to strength, and further members of the team have been added, ably supported by a strong network of tried and tested freelance or contract staff, meaning that LDL can expand as necessary to meet the targets of any project. The core of the team has remained in place, with highly regarded Lead Developer Steve Anson directing the company's technical strategy.
Day to day running of the company is handled by Managing Director Greg Adam. Greg has spent 10 years working in roles from Web Developer through to Project Management, where he displayed strong management skills working for Digitalbrain PLC successfully working with clients such as London Grid for Learning, Becta, and Learning and Teaching Scotland. After leaving Digitalbrain, Greg formed Lancashire Digital Limited with Chief Executive Officer, Len Adam.
Len has a strong reputation in the Education industry, and has held many positions including Education Director for Digitalbrain PLC, Assistant-Principal of Blackburn College (FE) and Deputy Head/Consultant for the highly regarded Thomas Telford City Technology College. Len was also employed by the DfES as the ICT Consultant in the design and implementation of two of the new City Technology Colleges and was a member of Sir Gordon Higginson's National Committee for the development of ILT in Further Education, as well as being a founder council member of the National Information and Learning Technology Association (NILTA).
This strong foundation has meant that LDL have been able to provide multimedia development services to a range of blue chip clients, and have provided a basis for growth that has seen the company excel in their field. This is set to continue for many years to come.
