Actionscript / Flash developer
LDL is an established multimedia developer based in Lancashire delivering solutions to a wide range of major publishing clients in the Education sector.
We are looking to add a dynamic and flexible Actionscript 2/3 developer to our team to work on a range of projects delivering multimedia tools and assets to our clients. You must be an organised and self-motivated individual capable of independent and team-based working.
The job will include the following responsibilities:

Development of educational e-learning products, ranging from simple Flash games to complex Flash toolsets
Liaising with clients to establish technical requirements and project scope in association with the LDL Project Manager
Working with internal and external developers to ensure products integrate seamlessly with client delivery systems
Development of client content creation systems
Researching new technologies and frameworks relevant to our work
The skills you require for the job are:

A minimum of 2 years commercial experience working with Actionscript 2/3
A deep understanding of Actionscript 2/3 and Flash development
Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming techniques
A solid understanding of visual and user interface design. This is not a design role, but we do require all developers to implement from supplied designs and make decisions where appropriate.
Strong understanding of XML, HTML and Javascript
Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator
Skills that are desirable but not essential:

Experience working with PHP and MySQL
Development experience using Flex
Experience with wrapper technologies such as:
-
Multidmedia Zinc
Adobe AIR
Haxe/Screenweaver
mProjector

We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and is comfortable working in a team. We offer flexible working arrangements although the job is based from our Leyland office.
